WHAT IS SOUND HEALING?

Sound healing is a holistic practice applying sound frequencies to the body and mind of a person with the intention to promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

All known cultures have used sound healing in one form or another. Indigenous tribes, Tibetan monks, and ancient Greek philosophers all used sound as a tool for healing, ceremony, and spiritual connection. Gongs, chanting, drumming, and string instruments were central to rites of passage and emotional release. These traditions recognized that sound could shift energy, soothe pain, and restore balance.

Modern research is now tracing the wisdom that ancient cultures knew intuitively.

"Take time to listen to the winds, the water, the trees. They carry messages for the soul."

WHAT IS A SOUND BATH?

A sound bath is an immersive event where musical tones are created through various instruments such as singing bowls, chimes, gongs, drums, and other instruments to create a therapeutic environment, promoting a state of relaxation, recovery, and stillness.

  • Eases physical tension

  • Softens pain

  • Lowers cortisol levels

  • Deepens relaxation

  • Awakens healing pathways

  • Calms anxious thoughts

  • Supports restful sleep

WHAT TO EXPECT

Typically, when you enter the space, it will be quiet, cozy, and welcoming. You will want to wear comfortable clothing and plan to arrive 5-10 minutes early, which allows you to find your space, start calming your mind, and set your intention for the session.

Unless told otherwise, you will typically bring a mat, blanket, and pillow for comfort as you will lie on the floor (if indoors) or grass/sand area (if outdoors or at the beach). If you do not have a mat, a sleeping bag, a comforter, or blankets will work perfectly.

During the session, eyes are usually closed, and an eye mask can be used to promote a more intimate experience.

This is a noninvasive, low-tech, and deeply intuitive experience.

* If you have a pacemaker, epilepsy, certain hearing conditions, or are in the 1st trimester of pregnancy, exposure to prolonged vibrations may be dangerous. Please consult your medical team before attending.

“If you restore balance in your own self, you will be contributing immensely to the healing of the world.”
